Professor Tom Monie is responsible for the education and wellbeing of the College's undergraduate and postgraduate students. Building on a PhD in Molecular Virology he trained as a protein biochemist and innate immunologist and ran a research group investigating the body's ability to detect infection. He now focuses on teaching students cell and molecular biology and seeking ways to enhance and improve their educational experience. He continues to teach University courses in Immunology, Genetics and areas of Clinical Medicine.
