The acclaimed Christs College Chapel Choir from Cambridge, UK is returning to New Zealand in July 2024, following the success of their 2019 tour. The choir undertakes a substantial international tour each summer. Details of past tours, various recordings, and general information about the choir can be explored to the right.
Choir Director Prof. David Rowland says: ‘Coming to New Zealand is always a treat for the choir. The choir numbers around 24 singers and is supported by two organ scholars and myself as the Director of Music. The choir's recordings feature on the BBC's broadcasts and each year it performs concerts in the UK and abroad, most recently in the USA and Canada, as well as singing regularly for services in the College chapel. Performances in New Zealand will include music from the sixteenth century to the present day, including established church music repertoire and music by contemporary composers.’
Details of concert locations, times, and ticket prices are listed below. All tickets are available on a cash-only basis at the door, unless otherwise noted. CD recordings of the choir will also be available to purchase with cash.
