Simon McDonald’s book – Beyond Britannia: Reshaping UK Foreign Policy - published tomorrow by Haus Publishing considers how the soft power of the UK might be harnessed to expand our international influence.
Historian David Reynold’s book – Mirrors of Greatness: Churchill and the Leaders who Shaped Him – published by Harper Collins offers new perspectives on Winston Churchill’s life and work in the context of his relationships with other world leaders.
Professor Reynolds will be in discussion about his book with Andrew Marr at the Cambridge Literary Festival on 18 November 2023.
Dr Alex Loktionov, Fellow of Christ’s and of the McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research, has a new edited book - Compulsion and Control in Ancient Egypt – which is launched on the Archaeopress website and is available for pre-order. It will be available digitally in Open Access.
With contributions from Egyptologists from around the world, the book’s chapter are expanded from papers presented at the third Lady Wallis Budge Egyptology conference, organised by Christ’s College, and held online 27–28 August 2020.
