College Open Days give you chance to meet us, see the College and find out more when it suits you in the year preceding an application.

These events take place in October, February, and September. We also run Christ's events (in a different format) as part of the Cambridge Open Days in July.

You can register interest for our February Online Open Day (with optional visit). This is for students considering a Cambridge application in September/October 2025 for 2026 entry or 2027 deferred entry.

Remember that there are also plenty of smaller events in between the Open Days, including our regular webinars and student-led tours.

Who can take part?

If you're at school in England or Wales, the October and February dates will be in "Year 12" and the September event will be in "Year 13"

If you're at school in Scotland, the October and February dates will be in "S5" and the September event will be in "S6"

If you're at school in Northern Ireland, the October and February dates will be in "Year 13" and the September event will be in "Year 14"

If you're one of our International applicants, school years are called different things in different countries. We therefore tend to describe the events in relation to when you would apply to Cambridge e.g. 'those applying in October 2025', 'those applying in October 2026'.

If you're not at school or sixth form college, you're just as welcome! Some participants will be students on a gap year, mature applicants, home educated applicants, post-qualification applicants, applying from a university etc.

If you're a parent or guardian you can attend everything except sessions involving our academics. No separate booking is needed for parents and guardians.

What happens on a College Open Day?

Our College open days are online with an optional opportunity to visit the College. We find that this is Student talking in blue T shirtthe best way to make the sessions accessible to everyone, but also ensure that those who are able to meet us and see the College in person have the opportunity to do so.

For the online part, there is a pre-recorded talk that you watch in advance and then on the day we run live webinars and meetings in Zoom to allow you to meet students, academic staff and admissions staff and get your questions answered. After the event you receive a detailed follow-up email with links for further research, as well as temporary access to some session recordings in case there was something you were not able to attend live (we do not expect students to miss school to attend sessions).

On the in-person visit day we run College tours and an opportunity to meet students / admissions staff for those who would also like to visit the College.

We've now run quite a lot of online open days - our first was Sept 2020 and we've done 4 a year since then. We've had good feedback from participants so please don't be put off by the online parts if you would prefer in-person - there is a lot we can do to help online and it makes the event accessible to those who can't travel so far.

How do I book a place?

Please complete the booking form on this page.

At times when booking is not open yet, you can register your interest for future events. When we open booking for an event, we email the students who have registered interest in it to let you know that the booking form is now available.

  • If you are applying in Oct 2025 (for Oct 26 or deferred Oct 27 entry), you can register interest for the February, July and September events.
