We encourage students from Bulgaria, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and Slovenia to take part in national and international exam-based competitions where appropriate. Students who do well enough to achieve a medal (Gold, Silver or Bronze) in a science-based International Olympiad, as well as performing strongly in our interviews and assessments, are also considered for adjusted offers, that is, offers set at a lower level than would be the case for non-medalists.

A list of the International Olympiads that this applies to is below:

  • International Mathematical Olympiad
  • European Girls Mathematical Olympiad
  • International Physics Olympiad
  • International Chemistry Olympiad
  • International Olympiad in Informatics
  • International Biology Olympiad
  • International Economics Olympiad
  • International Philosophy Olympiad
  • International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics
  • International Geography Olympiad
  • International Linguistics Olympiad

For students applying in Oct 2024 only, the information also applies to the European Physics Olympiad due to exceptional circumstances (we are aware that teams may not have the opportunity to compete at the International Physics Olympiad).
