Behind Third Court, you find a patch of grass with a part of Hobson's Conduit, and the Darwin Portico (a small walkway with columns).
The portico has a panel display about Charles Darwin on it's back wall, as well as a large bronze bust of Darwin created by the american sculptor William Couper in 1909. This sculpture was presented to the College by an American delegation visiting for the celebrations for the centenary of Darwin's birth and the fiftieth anniversary of the publication of the Origin of Species. It's a replica - the first bust was given to the American Museum of Natural History, who commissioned a copy from Couper to send to Cambridge, where Darwin studied as a Christ's undergraduate.
