Cataloguing of the pre-1900 printed books in the Old Library is ongoing.
- To date, over 4,500 pre-1900 printed books can be found in Cambridge University Libraries' main catalogue, iDiscover, so it is always worth checking this first.
- Our incunabula (books printed before 1501) are described in the Incunabula Short Title Catalogue (ISTC).
- A separate list of our incunabula is also available to download here.
- In addition, our continental sixteenth-century printed books are described in H.M. Adams, Catalogue of Books Printed on the Continent of Europe, 1501-1600, in Cambridge Libraries (London: Cambridge University Press, 1967).
