The Yusuf Hamied Centre houses common rooms, the theatre, and downstairs one of the music practice rooms, the function room, the gym and a squash court. The Centre is part of the New Court Buildings, just to the right of the stairs up to staircase 2.

In the centre's entrance there is an information board about Dr Yusuf Hamied, who studied Natural Sciences at Christ's from 1954 to 1957 and continued to complete his PhD in Chemistry as a graduate student here. His company, CIPLA, broke the monopoly of big pharmaceuticals and brought down the cost of medicines for diseases such as AIDS, so that they could be available to all.
