Christ's Medical Society organises a range of events to allow Christ's medical students across the years to get to know each other and to connect with alumni. This is both enjoyable and helps students to prepare for a medical career, benefitting from the advice and experience of older students. Activities include Medics Freshers' Drinks, academic talks, the annual MedSoc Dinner in the College Hall, various welfare events, and a garden party in Easter term as well as smaller get-togethers and formal dinner swaps with other College Medical Societies (we host them one time, they host us another time).
The College also has an alumni part of the Medical Society called the Christ’s College Medical Alumni Association. Some joint events are run between the CC Medical Society and the CC Medical Alumni Association offering talks, dinners and opportunities for discussion with people at different stages of their Medical Careers. For example this year there's a careers event planned in concert with the CC Medical Alumni Association, and a similar event for those interested in research.
