This section is Christ's College, Cambridge information for current applicants.

Welcome! Thank you for submitting a UCAS application and applying for 2025 or deferred 2026 entry. We are the Christ's Admissions Team, and our names are Kristy, Fran, Hayley and Ellie. We're here to administer (but not to assess!) your application and answer your questions, and we'll support you through this section of the Christ's website from now until decisions-time at the end of January 2025.

The Cambridge process assesses you carefully, and there are quite a few forms and 'bits' to do after your UCAS application. If you follow the information in this section and work with us stage by stage (we've put the dates next to each stage), we will be able to guide you smoothly.

Current points

We are now on Stage 6 and information about receiving your decision this Thursday (30 Jan) is in the dropdown menu below. Please note that it is now too late to add any information to your application or to change your email address.

The applicant survey will close at the end of Wed 29 Jan. If you've not completed it yet, we'd love you to fill it in now - the link is in the Stage 6 email that we sent in December after your interviews. A big thank you to those who have already completed it.

Contacting Christ's: We need your help to work efficiently! We request that you start all emails with:
> Your name (exactly as you wrote it on your UCAS form)
> The course you've applied for (incl. 'Biological or Physical' if Nat. Sciences)
> Your UCAS number (10 digits, write as a number without dashes)
> The country you are applying from (e.g. France)

Stage 1: up to 15 Oct / Deadlines & how to apply

Read how to apply and this current applicants section.
Consider booking Applicant Webinar Series sessions.
Take steps to avoid email issues - read and act on receiving emails.

Stage 2: 15-22 Oct / Valid application with MyCApp

In Stage 2, everyone had 22 Oct deadlines. It is now too late to submit late documents for the 22 October deadlines.

Stage 3: 23 Oct-4 Nov / Written work & other deadlines

In Stage 3 we asked everyone to read and keep an eye on the subject information (info specific to your course), and there were a number of 4 November deadlines. It is now too late to submit documents for these deadlines.

Stage 4: Nov / Selection for interviews & assessments

In stage 4 we gave information about receiving an invitation to interview, and we asked you to read the subject information,  as it sets out the information that is specific to applying for your course.

The interviews have now taken place.

Stage 5: 2-18 Dec / Online interviews

Stage 5 is where we gave information for students who had received an invitation for online interviews (and a College assessment, if relevant).

The interviews have now taken place, however the following information is still relevant: Confidentiality

Stage 6: Jan / Outcome of your application

All applicants who had interviews will receive both an email and an update via the UCAS website with the outcome of their application during the day on Thursday 30 January 2025.

We will start sending emails at 09:00 UK time. This will take time so please bear with us. Hearing earlier or later in the day is not an indication of whether your application has been successful. If you are feeling nervous it may be best to plan to check for your decision at lunch time, rather than making yourself even more nervous by checking constantly all morning. Please do not phone us on 30 January - we cannot give decisions over the phone and we need to work efficiently.

Please make sure you know the login for your UCAS account! We are expecting UCAS to take several hours to update the profiles and not all updates will come through at the same time. The earliest updates may come in shortly after 9.15am but there's not much point in checking earlier than that. Updates are not sent in any particular order, so please be patient when waiting for your decision.

If your application has been unsuccessful, please read your decision email carefully when you receive it and try not to worry. Around 6 people apply for each place at Cambridge University and it is a competitive application process with a high standard of applications. This means that you may have done well in interviews and be predicted to get excellent grades but have not received an offer (information about how we make decisions).

If you receive an offer, your UCAS update will include a campus code for the College that has made you an offer. This may be Christ's (Campus Code A) or another College. You can check the list of College codes. You will receive your initial decision email on 30 January from the College that is making you an offer. The email you receive on 30 January is normally a very brief email to let you know that you are being made an offer, and you will then receive your formal offer letter within a week (Christ's offer letters will be sent as email attachments, but this may be different if your offer is from another College). Please bear with us as it takes some time to produce the full offer letters and please wait to receive your offer letter if you have questions about an offer you can see on your UCAS profile.

Note that we cannot process changes to email addresses and postal addresses between now and 30 January.

31 January

We expect that everyone should by now have received their application decision by email and on UCAS. If anyone is still waiting for either of these things, please check your spam folder if it's the email, otherwise please let us know and we'll follow it up.

Updates from 30 Jan -

If anyone has not received an email with your decision, please check your spam/junk folder.

If you've not had your UCAS update, please don't worry - there's always a teeny tiny number that UCAS struggle to process for one reason or another. They should be sorted very soon (and if you've had your email, you're fine - it's just a delay).

Last "top tip"!
Throughout this process I've encouraged you to avoid "noise" and stress. Avoid telling people it's decision day as far as possible so that you have the space to receive and process your application decision in your own time. Keep off online discussion forums.
