We ask all offer-holders to read this page by 14 February 2025 to ensure that you know what to do if you experience illness or other circumstances that may affect your studies after receiving your offer OR if you have a disability, neurodiverse condition (e.g. dyslexia, Autism Spectrum Disorder etc.), mental health condition or long-term health condition.
Whilst you are an offer-holder, if your studies are affected by short-term illness (of any kind) lasting more than a week, or other extenuating circumstances that we don't already know about, particularly around the exam period, please ask a teacher to email us to keep us updated at the time it happens. We need to know if you've got a challenging home environment, if a close family member has died, if there are unexpected problems with the teaching provision at your school, if there was a problem with the delivery of your exams, and any other circumstances that affect you. If you have a problem during an exam period, please ensure that your teacher has notified the relevant exam boards as well as emailing us. The email from your teacher should confirm that the exam boards have been notified.
The information will be placed in your file and taken into account when we receive your exam results.
If you had an Extenuating Circumstances form included in your original application, we still have this information in your file, though please ask a teacher / GP / social worker to write in to update us if there is further, new information that we should be aware of at this stage.

Accommodation requests
You will see on the dates and deadline page that in late August we send information about accommodation and a form to complete to offer holders starting in October. It is very important that you let us know on this form if you have any requests relating to disability or accessibility that we should bear in mind when allocating your room e.g. if an en-suite bathroom is needed.
Given notice, the Catering Manager can often provide for those with particular dietary requirements for medical reasons. Please get in touch as soon as possible once you have your offer if this is relevant (please email us ).
